Increase Home Value With Landscaping

A professionally landscaped property is a sure ticket to quick resale. It gives a home curb appeal, a sense of place and value. The landscape is the first thing you see when buying or selling a home. That first impression can add 20 percent to your home's value, a figure that rivals the return on a new kitchen or bathroom.

A Simple Yard Clean-Up 

Let's start off with the most simple of additions to your landscape, because far too often I see homes for sale with landscaping that could surely change a potential buyer's opinion for the worse. I shouldn't have to be the one to tell you that landscaping has a huge impact on the curb appeal of your house. This doesn't mean that the house should be professionally designed but it does mean having a nice clean cut, weedless beds, pruned bushes/shrubs and maybe a little mulch in the beds to keep the maintenance to a minimum while attempting to sell your house. This is necessary because anyone looking to buy a house, with the intent to keep the house in tact is not looking to spend a couple of days getting the landscape up to par, without a premium. By hiring a landscaping company, essentially you will end up spending a few hundred dollars to get the property to above and beyond selling standards, but the return could be the difference between getting what you want for your home or a bid for $10,000 less, due to the fact the new owners will have to do some work.

Patterned/Stamped Concrete Patio/Walkway

Stamped concrete is concrete that is patterned and/or textured or embossed to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile, wood, and various other patterns and textures. Stamped concrete is commonly used for patios, sidewalks, driveways, pool decks, and interior flooring. Walking past it you could easily be fooled into believing that it is not in fact concrete. Due affordability of it, it is the ideal solution for someone looking to sell their house without taking out a second mortgage. By going through with a stamped concrete patio/drive-way you will at least recoup the money expended and the house will sell much quicker than had it not been done.

Adding a Deck/Outdoor Living Space

Over the last few years, outdoor living have really come to fore-front when taking landscaping additions to a new level. Adding a deck, or an outdoor living space for that matter, can project a payback in the 60-90% range. A outdoor living space essentially provides you with another living space which can help when entertaining guests. Outdoor living spaces have also come a long way for individuals/families looking to spend a few extra bucks in adding some real class to their backyard's. Below is a very fashionable example of a living space that isn't out of the realm of possibilty for anyone.


Here is a prime example of a beautiful outdoor living space, it can be concealed, has a fire pit couch and a TV.
